The Dogs of Santa Fe

January 17, 2017.

Zuma and Steel were blown away to meet one of their own kind the other day while walking around the city of Santa Fe.
They locked eyes and then they simply hugged each other.
It was fantastic.
Steel is a year old Great Dane puppy with a super understanding owner/handler who was appreciative of the two dogs playing together and tolerant of the crowds they attracted!
A woman in the crowd took these pix ....

We also visited with Cooper The Corgi (a registered Service Dog):

A Beautiful Wind Hound:

This Guy has a great smile!

"The Gang" at The Plaza.

Cool Guy.  Cool Dog.
Totally awesome moment of the day.

A waiter at a dog-friendly restaurant on The Plaza (Thunderbird):

Great lunch, too!

We also met a woman whose parents breed Bernese Mountain Dogs and Standard Poodles and sell them for astronomical amounts of money to people who travel from all over the world and pay over a thousand dollars for a puppy.  Bernie-Doodles.  God help us.  She was dead serious.  I was shell-shocked.  And then I chatted with a man whose wife recently drove to Michigan and paid $1,500.00 to purchase a Newfoundland x Standard Poodle.  The breeder brags about producing NewfieDoodles.
Yeh, I snorted tea out of my nose over that one.

  Go to the pound, people.
OMG, I have to go for lunch.  This is exhausting.
