Do you remember back in the day when businesses displayed painted signs on their brick walls?  

Many of these have faded with time and the elements but we're seeing that the "old ways" are coming back into fashion once again. No longer a dying art, painters of all levels of talent are jazzing up the sides of buildings.

In Western North Carolina (and in Tennessee), we're enjoying seeing new, vibrant paintings on old brick buildings.  Whether they are painted by professionals or amateurs, for pleasure or practicality, art or advertisement, we think they're beautiful, colorful additions to the world.
