O.M.G. We woke up this morning and actually had to put the air conditioner on. Usually, if it's hot, we can open the door and windows and it's fine but today it's stifling, with record highs across NC and SC. The usual mountain breeze is lacking and the air is still for a change; it's going to hit the 90s. Bummer, but I've cancelled the trip to Greenville for the bringfido.com party. Zuma doesn't do well in the heat and no way am I putting her through any discomfort. Great Danes are prone to heart issues and I'm feeling about 50 pounds heavier when walking around today. Zu is more than happy to be surfing the cooking shows on tv, lounging in the comfort of our King Sized bed. Thankfully, she's eating normally and we're both consuming gallons of water.
Pool time soon! Yesterday I had three swim sessions. Today, so far two pool dips. More in the forecast.
I'm sad to miss the bringfido.com party but Zuma just cannot handle the heat so we've stayed home.
